TapebidTile estimate app for contractors
Floors, tub surrounds, showers and backsplashes. Tapebid works out the tile, the thinset, the grout and the membrane, prices them with your own rates and gets the estimate signed on your customer's phone.
What gets tiled
Pick the floor, a tub or a shower with its size, the walls around it and how high they are tiled, and any other wall, such as a backsplash. The floor under the tub is left out by itself, and the edge trim follows the tiled walls.
Example: an 8 × 5 ft bathroom
A 5 × 2.5 ft tub, tiled 6 ft high around it, with the old tile taken out and the walls waterproofed.
- Floor: 40 sq ft less 12.5 for the tub: 27.5 sq ft.
- Walls around the tub: (5 + 2.5 + 2.5) × 6 = 60 sq ft.
- Edge trim: 2 sides × 6 + 10 across the top = 22 ft.
- Floor tile: 27.5 sq ft + 10% = 30.25 ÷ 16 a box, 2 boxes. Wall tile: 60 + 10% = 66 ÷ 10 a box, 7 boxes.
- Thinset and grout, for the 87.5 sq ft tiled: 2 bags of each. Membrane: 1 kit.
The rest of the bathroom
- Taking out the old tile, and hauling the debris away.
- Waterproofing the walls, and the floor too when it needs it.
- Backer board behind the tiled walls: the work and the sheets to buy.
- A shower pan, curb, drain and bench, each at a flat price, and a niche.
- The surrounds of windows and doors, tiled, priced by the length and as wide as they are.
- Stairs, by the step.

Your customer opens the link, compares the options, picks one and signs with a finger. There is nothing to install and no account to make. You see when the estimate is opened and when it is signed, and you both keep the signed PDF with who signed and when. After that, the same job carries on in the app: change orders signed the same way, an invoice with what is left to pay, and a shopping list of what to buy.
